HA HAH! I decided to call my dealer one last time to check with them before I called Ford directly. He called me back in about 5 minutes with those digits you see there. Called SVT and its scheduled for the week of 12 Dec. turf, thanks for sending that phone number across even though it turns out I don't need it.

Congrats to everyone who has a truck, has a vin, or has a truck waiting in the system somewhere!

This is so much bs. I still have no vin and ordered beginning of sep and the dealer I went through is in the top 20's in the nation in size and sells trucks like crazy. Seriously don't understand how all these people have vin's even ordering a month later blows my mind but it is what it is I guess. Hell I ordered 2 of the ****'s.

Up at the top you'll see 220111123. Break that out to 2 - 2011 - 11 - 23. The first two means yet to be built (or something close to that, I'm paraphrasing). Next you'll see the date of your build. Congrats, brotha', your truck is being built TOMORROW!

Ordered Tux black screw 9/15 and still nothing. Called SVT and they said order is still processing call back in 2 weeks. Don't understand why some October orders have been pulled before mine. This wait SUX.

Yea, same here. Ordered 9-2-11 and still nothing.

That being said when I called Ford directly and calmly explained my situation; Ford stepped up to the plate and made it right for me!! I was really, really, impressed how they handled it. If you call Ford, be calm about it. It took about a week for my case to get resolved, they gave me a case# on my initial call and I received a phone call daily from corporate with updates. It really was First Class customer service. I highly doubt (government ran) Chrysler or Chevy would have done that.

One thing Ford corporate kept repeating to me is that they want to get me in this truck, which is their goal. They need to control their dealers from placing "phony" orders but their intent wasn't to prevent me from getting in a Ford Truck. Out here in CA, last year there was dealers selling Raptors for 10K over sticker and they wouldn’t let you place a retail order. Good for the dealers but bad for Ford because in my opinion, less trucks were sold. I even spoke to Randy and he said I could order tha 2012 Raptor through him but unfortunately he hasn’t found a dealer in So Cal that will drop ship his orders. (randy I found one that said she will in the future for you)

My suggestion to Ford corporate was that they require dealers to get D.L.#'s and a non-refundable down payment (maybe $500) from customers who place retail orders to insure they are legit orders.

I placed my order on 9/12/11. If you decide to call Ford just be CALM and give them a chance to make it right, they did for me.

O.K., where do I start? I e-mailed Ford on their customer satisfaction web site, got a call back today. +1 for speedy response. She then goes on to read me some hyperbole about orders taken based on product and option availabilty. When I asked why several people on a forum that have more options, because I don't have front camera, graphics, etc...can get their orders pulled, she just repeated the line about options and availability. She then only indicated that my order had been "placed".

I asked if dealerships are submitting false customer orders to build their stock of if any of the information about it that I had read (here) was true, got the run-around about she cannot comment on anything like that, and then repeated the orders based on option availability.

So, I again asked if she could give me a reason why my order placed the first week the banks opened has not been pulled when so many (on here) have been with same or less options, and I got the run around. (You see where this went). Her response then became suggestive that I was some how gullable and shouldn't believe everything I read on a non-Ford official site and insulted my intelligence by implying that I don't seem to know when people are not telling the truth.

I was polite the entire time, received no inquiry or other number and was rushed to get off the phone. So, I guess the adage here is: Results of Ford's customer care division will have different results based on the experiences of the user......or to put it another way, if I didn't specifically want a Raptor, I would be calling my dealer to cancel the order rather than put this response here. Ordered over 2 months ago and all I get is a runaround.

I was told that LESS THAN 1/2% of the 2012 Raptor orders that are vin'ed or built, ARE O/T 2 "for dealer stock" orders. They will begin pulling "O/T 1 "Sold" orders soon.

NONE of my "SOLD" O/T 1 are vin'ed yet, and I have had some in since FIRST DAY 8/26

You shoudl have rattled off a few of the VINs that have been posted here. Could have validated your case very quickly.

Didn't have the time to find, they called me (woke me up) and there are so many threads (not everyone posts in the "post up with your vin and build date" thread, instead they start a new "got my vin" thread").

I had a hard time understanding her thru the thick accent and had to ask her to repeat a few things. I think it was the Japan division of Ford that actually called me.
