Any down side to ripping out the front fender liners?

Exposed wiring on the front right side that you can tear/burn into with your tires when compressed. Plus you'll have a MUCH dirtier engine bay after some mud.

Best bet if you wanna get rid of them is to replace them with something like custom-fabbed tins. Some of our vendors can hook you up with those, they'll hold up MUCH better but they aren't cheap.

SDHQ can help you out! They did mine and retained part of the stock ones to save me some cash. Hard to get pics where they are really visible because they are linex'd black but here's one:
