Used prices rising on Gen 1s?

I bought a 1 owner Scab 2010 with 85k on it for $27.5k in Seattle. I've been doing research and read where the Gen 1 prices have bottomed out recently.

Prices starting going up on Gen 1's once Ford was finished their production for the 2019 year. But a week or so ago they started coming back down. I think it has to do with most dealers now taking orders on new '20 models.

Most of the trucks in my area with 60k miles that bumped up to $40k are now back down to the $36k to $38k range and dropping. My opinion only, but you shouldn't be paying over $40k on a Gen 1 unless its a '13 or '14 with less than 55k miles, or is a Roush Raptor.

With that said, I almost pulled the trigger on a '13 with 28k miles, out the door price $49.6k. When I thought about paying almost MSRP for an almost 7 year old truck, Raptor or not, I couldn't do it. For an extra $25k I could buy it brand new.

Paid 39k otd for my loaded '14 in Oxford White. 60k miles with only the beadlocks missing. I thought I was getting a deal. Apparently that's going rate according this this thread.

Depends how you look at it. If you are buying from a dealership then that is definitely a good price for a '14 out the door. I think you got a deal especially, if you compare it to the private prices. This truck is the only vehicle I've ever seen where the private sellers are asking for more money than dealerships; and I'm talking about an extra $5k to $8k. I don't understand it, but if they can get people to pay their price, more power to them.

Just picked up a 14 SE Ruby red with 45k miles. Nicely maintained. 42k.

Got 3k more on trade in too than other dealer.

It was the only color combo I was willing to pay over 40k for.

for sure, I looked around and made sure I found something reasonable. this vehicle is also CPO with a b2b till next year and powertrain till 2121 so I feel like at 39k I got a little extra. already in equity is nice lol.
