I’m looking into getting a Raptor. It’s been my dream truck for years now. I’m just a bit concerned on miles on it. For the price 33,900 in leadfoot grey 802A package. Carfax seems clean but I’ve heard about the horror stories of the cam phasers. It was used as a workfleet vehicle. I’m going to go test drive it today, any tips on what I should be looking for, am I overthinking it? Here’s the link. https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/share/400466870

Where I live that same truck would sell for $55-$60k and would sell in two days.

Couple things I would look for as a new Raptor owner myself.

Early 18s have a composite oil pan, they like to seep/leak.

Shocks, when have they been rebuilt? When and by who?

The Driver side valve cover likes to develop a hairline crack and leak oil in the valley of the first valve cover bolt.

Cam Phaser. Maybe call Ford with Vin and see if the cam phaser have ever been replaced with the upgraded csm phasers. See if there's any other service records, diff service, etc.

Buying used is always a gamble. Budget maintenance items, like diff fluide change, transmissions spill and fill, oil change, etc. Get a extended warranty and negotiate having the shocks rebuilt into the deal before you sign, if you can.

Beautiful color and best of luck.

If it hasn't had a cam phaser job it will need one eventually. I have a 2018 and had to get the phasers replaced at about 70k miles. What Roush2568 said about the oil pan is correct. My 2018 was after they switched to an aluminum oil pan. It is easy to look underneath and see what it has. If it is plastic see if it looks wet or leaking. With that many miles I would also see how flat the rear leaf springs are. Seeing as it was a work fleet vehicle I would guess they are pretty tired and flat. Also with that milage all those shocks should be rebuilt.
