Hey everyone, I just discovered the Raptor a few days ago. I've been driving cars very similar to the hoopdies in the monthly thread for the last 10 years. My current vehicle is a 4-banger 2000 Frontier with 85k miles on it (only bought it in 2009 when it had 45k miles on it).

I'm dying for a truck with power, ruggedness and a slick look. I was drawn to the recent design facelift on Ford's F-Series as of late and found the Raptor. Constant Googling and whatnot led me here.

I'm planning to buy in the next 4-6 months as my little Frontier won't trade-in for a solid enough down payment. Nonetheless, if an opportunity presents itself I won't hesitate to pounce on it if I can.

A nearby dealer has this listing that I was looking for feedback on: http://bit.ly/wcivnQ

I tried TrueCars and KBB, but nothing really defines the appropriate price for used 2011 Raptors. 18k miles in a year and a half (tops) is pretty beast. My thought process is this should be priced more around $40-45k +TTL (Pinch myself because I'm dreaming?).

That said, I'm far from educated on the subject. Any thoughts from the gurus?

Thanks!

That dealer is out of his mind, that's $2k more than my ever so slightly more optioned 2011 truck stickered for, and I paid about $2k less than that in December of 2010 (had to hunt for that deal at the time).

Raptors in general seem to be overpriced on the used market. I think I've seen fairly low-optioned (still extremely nicely equipped) 2010 super cabs go in the higher $30ks with similar mileage.

Overpriced. That is a 42k truck and Carmax has them cheaper. If you have decent credit, talk to Randy.

I paid 2k less than that for my loaded 2012. There is a 2011 Screw here in Colorado Springs with 6k miles, no nav for 48k and I thought that was high.

That dealer is f'ing cray.... That is in no way a good deal. That asking price is only $1,000 less than the MSRP for a fully loaded 2011 SCREW.

I could go get a fully loaded 12 off the lot today with 400 miles on it for less than 50.
But I got a order in for a even better price. Id Stay away from that dealer.

Just received a new 2012 Scab, w/ lux, moonroof, and nav for nearly $8K less than that! Way overpriced my friend. I would expect a bit of a premium in Cali, but thats ridiculous. Keep looking, you'll find the right one.

For what its worth I just purchased a 2011 SCAB with 13K miles for $38,700 last week. It has all options except NAV and moonroof. I watched the ads pretty closely for weeks and felt this was about as good of a deal as I was going to get. The original MSRP was $45,300.
