USB randomness

I've got a PNY micro sized USB key that I've kept inserted into the stereo since week 1 of ownership. I almost always listen to the USB drive. I've noticed that after starting the truck up, it will often just change the USB settings on me. For example, say I had gone into the Music Library settings and selected the Country genre. Next time I start the truck it somehow changed to play all artists and sorted it by artist name. Then next time I start it up, it's somehow on 'line-in' and I have to tell it to use the USB again.

Seems like it just doesn't retain the preferences worth a crap. Anyone else experience this?

I have this issue every once I'm a blue moon. I just unplug the USB and plug it back in and I'm good to go

I have MFT and when I turn the key on (engine off) listening to my USB/iPod and then turn the engine on, the audio will go to A/V cables. WTF?

MFT blows. Mine randomly locks up and tried to play things that aren't there. It's just something we gotta live with.

The biggest issue I personally have is getting bluetooth to actually use my phone instead of not. It connects and then isn't played through speakers nor the phone. Also, answering a call sucks and mine only works when placing a call.

Just seems crappy. I had the UConnect system in my Jeep SRT8, and for 3 years it worked flawlessly. And that was a 2008.

I have a '10 (no nav, MFT) and it will randomly switch from the USB to the radio. No rhyme or reason. Shut it off, come back, turn the key on and find it switched to the radio. It never goes from the radio to USB though. I haven’t bothered to mention it to the dealer because we all know how well they fix random / intermittent issues. Not that I can fix intermittent issues in my job either......

mine is opposite goes from FM to USB about once a week. Have had the radio and sat radio just stop for a few seconds, if takes too long I just channel up or down and go back and she plays... wierd Knock on wood BT phone, Text and Pandora have worked fine.....
