I need someone to help my sanity and post a picture of the inner side of their passenger side CV axle. It seems that something isn't in all the way and no matter what I do nothing moves. Pic 1 driver side, pic two with blue rag passenger side. 1000006114.jpg1000006115.jpg

Empty pic. No amount of beating is getting this in. Have even tried turning and hitting in case something isn't lined up

Retaining ring is still there in the groove I just happened to take the picture at the opening. I believe those splines are supposed to be inside that shaft.

you ever done these before? if not, you may not be getting them in all the way. you really need to ram these things home. i line it up and push it in. once there i back it out a couple inches making sure its still lined up and slam it in place. sometimes it takes me a couple tries

the orange sealant is the edge of the seal.. the intermediate shaft on teh passenger side. thats what it looks like..

the oring seals the axle shaft end from getting dirt in there..

everthing is fine.. whats the problem? oil leak? the seal prob needs to be replaced

looks weird because driver side is male CV, and pass is female...

No. I watched three videos and took pictures of everything before and as I went but didn't think to take a picture of the inner cv hub seating.

I installed it and it engaged the retaining clip. It is just throwing me off not looking the same as the driver side. Nothing is leaking and it seems to be driving ok as I just went up and down in the street in 4wd. Thanks for the reassurance. If I don't get a photo on here I will drive around and find one for sale and climb under it and look and the passenger side cv.
