just get a ball joint puller and a socket wrench and torque wrench, its real easy. should take but 20 mins( after you;ve done it once. so 9hrs for the first and 20 mins on the 2nd. i'd say an hour and your good. that even with a couple of beer breaks and standing and staring after

Hey Outlaw,

I am bound and determined to level my Raptor. What I would like to know from you is: Given that I will replace the UCA's and Tie Rods, what is the best option, top perch, or spacers?

Best in my mind is keeping it closest to the stock ride and not causing unneeded stress on the CV's, etc.

I assume the absolute best scenario would be to also replace the shocks with longer ones, but I see no need to toss the FOX's yet.

contact SDHQ or Outlaw Raptor, maybe ADD also. Middle or top perch depending on what size tires 35's mid, 37" top. Depending on how aggressive you drive also and how much you want to spend $ $. If you go top perch I think it will set front a little high ?

Top perch mod looks great, handles great and I never noticed getting in and out of the truck. With 37's you need to think about fiberglass fenders. Desert running + top perch on 35's, still ripped out the wheel wells and rubbed.

You don't even need a ball joint puller, just smack the flat surface on the control arm with a hammer, where the ball joint slips in, and it will pop right out.

The top perch adjustment on the FOX coil over will be the best. It also depends if you are running the truck off road. I assume you are due to wanting to change out the arms and tie rods. The top perch offers a good amount of preload for the factory coil so the front end stays up but it is a little more springy. The uni ball arm we offer has a turned uni ball cup so the uni ball angle works perfect at full droop and compression on the middle and top perch. If you run the top perch adjustment and stock arm and off road the truck the factory ball joint will fail.

I love the Camburg's. 1/2" bigger for $100 bucks.

I like that the ORP's have uca's and a matching tie rod set.

If someone came out with a matching set for say $1500 I'd be all over that!
