Good day all,
Have searched around and PM'ed some people about this but with no avail.

I just ordered a Icom ID880H radio and looking to mount it up by the sun glass holder. Nice and out of the way.

I started to look at the antennas and what I would need but quickly became lost on all of the information.

Could anyone recommend a good antenna? For that anything else that I should have in this setup?

Thank you all,

Thank you, I am going to mount it to the roof and hope to unscrew it when I am not using it.

The types of antennas are where I am lost. Seems like there are millions of types of them. Not sure what makes one better then the next one.

You need a dual band antenna that goes from 100 to 999 mhz... A great source for information is HRO Ham radio outlet.. Your antenna will run from about 40.00 to 100.00 for a reasonable one... Talk to the guys there they will guide you based on your needs and desires...
