some states that require annual state inspections like Virginia will require covers on off-road lights to pass inspection. If you show up without a cover and the light does not go off with the high beams then you will fail inspection.I believe there’s some DOT regulation that limits the number of forward driving lamps so the covers are for the “off road use only” set. They both don’t do much but light up right in front of the truck so either some adjustment or a/m replacements would help.
I installed Rigid ( truck was already wired for Baja) had to rewire … contact John at Speciality Performance Parts 307-93-GO-SPV … he will walk you thru it and figure out what you need… he sells Plug n Play wiring that made it really simple … I also installed the rigid backup lights ( don’t hav a pic of when it’s in reverse … it provides great illumination)Probably a simple solution, but how do i turn on the Rigid fog lights. Tried the aux switch and didn't see it turn on. Am i missing something? Also how is the illumination?
The real question is…has he replaced the covers after melting them from turning and leaving the AUX switch ON???Ok, is no one going to acknowledge that this dude didn’t realize the covers were still on?
nah, most LEDs don't get hot enough to melt anything..The real question is…has he replaced the covers after melting them from turning and leaving the AUX switch ON???
In case you misread his post, he’s asking about the Rigids that come standard on the Gen 3...not something bought & installed.I installed Rigid ( truck was already wired for Baja) had to rewire … contact John at Speciality Performance Parts 307-93-GO-SPV … he will walk you thru it and figure out what you need… he sells Plug n Play wiring that made it really simple … I also installed the rigid backup lights ( don’t hav a pic of when it’s in reverse … it provides great illumination)
