What do you think of running resonator only? I know I know it will be loud, I ran this set up on my inline six twin turbo BMW sounded great no rasp, but that's apples and oranges isn't it?

I'm guessing it will sound kind of tinny. Even the MBRP turndown (no resonator) sounds a little tinny at high RPMs.

I've noticed that too. I thought the MBRP was hitting the brackets but have now learned the turndown just gets a little raspy at WOT. It's not my favorite sound but will work for now.

Dang, thanks for your input maybe a larger resonator would take care of the rasp.

I have had my MBRP w/o resonator installed now for a little over a month now and the drone is getting rather annoying. I do love the idle sound and the clean look, but am definitely interested to hear the results of one with the resonator installed. I don't want to hack up the factory exhaust. I have been debating on going with a different muffler in the hopes to reduce/eliminate the drone.

I had the full MBRP system on my 2011. The full system comes with a resonator and still the drone was too much for me. I will agree that it sounds awesome at idle. The system is now sitting in my attic. I will probably just have a Borla welded in th stock system for something a little louder than stock.

You guys might want to consider just putting turndowns on your stock muffler. I had Midas do that last year to my Raptor for about $40 and it sounds great & no drone. I always get compliments about how good it sounds. It also a cheap way to blow the leaves off the driveway.

I did this as well and agree it sounds the best so far. If you notice, the stock duel outlets exit differently from the muffler. They are a little off-set. I didn't like the look of the duel turndowns on the stock muffler because of their un-eveness. That's why I went the aftermarket route.

I can see going for a setup like yours.

I've not been under the truck to look, but, what did you do for those hangers?

And, can you grab a video of what it sounds like?

The picture on the left is the front hanger. The picture on the right is the rear hanger.

I cut the original hangers off the stock muffler. I then modified them and added some additional solid rod to make them work.

I'll post a video of the sound a little later.

p.s. no making fun of my welds! Yes it looks like duck $h*T but I was in a hurry. It was done with a mig welder and I didn't have time to set up the tig welder.
