There's no known issues with this combo. When the EM was first released, there was some bad units that made it thought, but the problem has been corrected for years now.

We offer both CVF and Turbosmart here at Apollo, happy to help get you dialed in or answer any questions you may have.
EM BOV is a piece of junk if its going to see any kind of dirt.. SVC intercooler with early EM BOV owner.. the BOV sucks

i was cleaning mine at least once a month because it was stuck open or closed or check engine lights from debris in the solonoid.. very lame..

IF it was an enclosed design like the turbosmart supersonic, it would work fine, but that open to the elements piston deal sucks man...

just cut the hose and go with a vacuum operated supersonic and you wont regret it..

i have not had to mess with my supersonic once since i installed it. it sounds better than the EM BOV and works flawlessly.

how many people are not going to read my posts about this? dont buy the EM BOV until they enclose it...

Thought the recirculating version was already available? My OEM unit looks to be starting to split.

enclosed is different than recirculating.. recirculating means the noise goes to the airbox like stock..

the enclosed supersonic is VTA, but the blow off piston is enclosed in the housing and vents thru a spring loaded vent that stays closed and keeps the crap out.

the EM BOV blow off piston is exposed to the elements, and especially so with the SVC intercooler.. it might work fine for the stock location, or on a truck that doesnt see any dirt.. mine stuck open in a freezing rain event.. one piece of sand disables the EM BOV, either open or closed, so usually Id get it closed and then unplug it whenever i was on an off road trip, and then id have to stare at the check engine light on..

highly recommend not going with the EM BOV if youre looking to buy a FMIC or BOV

Point would be if your OE failed as is mine and you wanted something more sturdy. By your own admission the only fault in the original was particulate contamination, correct?

If you don't want a VTA, then go with the EM Plumb Back unit - same price as the VTA version. No need to go with the Supersonic unit and have to deal with the ticking sound and adding boost taps and all the other headache. Handful of bolts, 1 plug, and you're done.

I know what it means... swore I saw a post (facebook?) of them releasing a fully recirculating model. Maybe not.
It's available now. We have them in stock and ready to ship.

i dont have the ticking sound.

it matters where you source the vacuum from if you get the ticking or not..

Fair point - but still, the supersonic is a bigger pain to install that the EM setup and/or more expensive if you're adding a throttle body spacer, or other source, with boost taps.

but it sure beats taking it apart every weekend to clean, or replace solonoids, or have to pull over the side of the highway because you have no boost because the thing is stuck open.. im telling you, nothing but problems...

i dont have a throttle body spacer.. i put it a tee in the evap solonoid main line and have never looked back..
