Pre-orders shipped last week, mine should be here tomorrow. Wondering if anyone else ordered or is planning on ordering. New product and there's very little info on it. I chatted with TurboSmart about it and it's a plug and play replacement for the stock BOV, electrically operated via stock harness so none of the hardware and boost reference nonsense involved with the older BOV kit they sell- most importantly it doesn't sound like a lawn sprinkler while at idle like the mechanical valve does.

Anyway, I'll report back after install in case anyone is interested.

the old one doesnt make any of the "lawn sprinkler" noises.

Its actually the ****** ford brake booster valve and the lack of rigid hose/insulation with the turbosmart "directions"

The easiest way to make it not happen is to use a throttle body spacer, but if you used a rigid house with heat shrink fittings, it wouldnt make noise.

wtf is the point of replacing one crappy oem BOV with a crappy aftermarket BOV that is controlled the same way?

Brilliant post... From the guy with the sprinkler under the hood. Would you classify the manual valve you installed as crappy? OEM valve is plastic and doesn't hold up or hold increased boost. The manual valve is spring loaded and requires running reference line and cutting into stock plumbing (lol). New valve is plug and play, metal, larger, EM. You're butt hurt.

I don't think the one in the 1st post vents to atmosphere. It is a plug and play and made of metal (tougher) but functions just like the oem one.

It vents to the atmosphere. I’ve been eyeing it since last year. Consistent boost held & way more durable. I’m just making sure there’s no issue, I don’t want to be the guinea pig.
