Hm, i am kind of surprised they updated it without saying something, but i guess they don't really need permission. I don't know

With our PCMs this wouldn't be a problem.
First if they decide to update or even reflash the PCM they will see it's flashed to begin with.
And also to point out Ford hasn't updated the PCM firmware since middle of 2013.
And even then it was minor hot fix for 2013.

Tunes and ford extended warranties

I'm looking at the 5 start tune (is it worth it?)

Just got the extended warranty for 6yr/75k... and don't want to waste my money. Any good/bad experiences with dealing with the extended (as opposed to factory) warranty? It's through ford.

I have a tune on mine with the 100k 7yr and have been to deal multiple times I just pull my tune off before I go in. No issues as of yet. But with that being said ford will look for reasons not to honor a warranty claim so do not make it easy for them to find something.

Absolutely! The transmission shifting and throttle response change is awesome.

I am the minority. I got a tuner with 5* and SVC. Would like to sell it (not sure if I can) as a tune hasn't been on it for about a year now. I also got the extended Ford warranty for 7yrs/125k and felt the warranty was worth keeping since it cost more. If you have any major engine trouble, they will find out if you had a tune on it or not. I was told that even though I had mine on for only a few months long ago that they can still find it but I am not sure about that. Did the tune make a difference, yeah but it seemed manly in shifting, wasn't worth it to me but then again like I said, I am the minority.

I have a tune from 5star and I feel the difference is night and day. Shifts points are vastly improved and engine is more responsive.
