Was anyone running Goodyear Duratrac's? Heard they are good on the snow/ice. I will be in the market for some tires before next winter.

I'm running Duratracs. I've had no real issues with them. They are about 25000 miles in and did great at the SnoBall.

Ice, well ice is ice. What do you do...

I know Greg (aka Squatting Dog) is/was also running them.

I'm gonna run duratracs also when the stockers go. However the Truxus are tempting. I never really new why that tire didn't become more mainstream. When I ran them on the Taco they really did amaze us. I wheeled with a bunch of jeepers. Most were locked f/r. If there was snow on or wet rocks my little Tacoma with only a rear locker would eat those jeeps up. They were running the original MTR or the bfg MT.

Brings back fun memories.

Thanks, I have 48000 Km's on the original stocks right now, hoping to make it through this summer and then grab some Duratracs. Would love some new rims too if I can sneak them past the wife somehow, haha.

this is my second set of TRXUS MT's on two different trucks in addition to running multiple sets of BOGGERS and TSL's on my rock crawler Ranger, all manufactured by TrXus MT | Interco Tire. these TRXUS MT's are an all around amazing tire. has sipping for ice and rain. a tougher tread compound that wont chunk apart like my stock BFG all terrains did at HAVOC. aired down they have a gigantic foot print of about 14". Depending on how much u air them down to. fully inflated they have a 9.4" foot print. this is key for mileage on highways. im not sure of the speed rating but i run them daily at 80mph to work. and in my opinion they are not loud. if u have the radio on at any level u will not hear them. however windows down with no radio listening for them u will hear them... only downside i can think of is that they are a heavier tire. but hey realistically our Raptors dont notice. im running 35x12.5R18 with a zero offset rim. they do rub slightly when completely cutting the wheel. but they have not ripped my inner fenders out. also i am set at mid perch which helps this rub situation. our stock bfg's measure 34" these measure a true 35". i plan on having +2+2 fenders up front one day down the off road to solve this minor rub issue. hope this helps somehow.

I read a few reviews, everyone says that they are great in all conditions: mud, snow, ice, rocks, and pavement. The one common compaint is that they wear fast. Like Rudy stated the compond holds up well and doesn't chunk like our stock BFG's did at HAVOC. I will definitely be putting these on my short list of possible tires to buy. Especially after seeing how well they worked for Rudy, in 2' of snow last weekend.

It wasn't the tires that kept him from getting stuck, it was the fact that he is running Rockstar wheels!
