Exactly the message I get from the COTUS site. I need to contact the rep you did. Thanks

I got the same message on the Cotus site this morning. So I went to the dealership to confirm that the order# and dealer code were correct and they were. I talked to the owner/sales manager who I placed the order with. She checked my status and it said "Order Locked In." and it also showed a partial vin#. She said it won't get a full vin# until it is scheduled. She also said that she didn't think it would show up on Cotus until it had a full vin#.

Alright. Got some info, and I feel a little better.

My sales manager friend at the dealership called and basically said, "Don't worry! Everything's cool!" and that the order has been confirmed with "everyone in the chain all the way to the powers that be". Hmmm....

I wasn't "completely satisfied" with that answer, so I called Ford. Again. After giving them my info, they said it was "in order processing" with an anticipated delivery date of 10/9. Cool. Same thing I saw on COTUS. Then I asked what vehicle they show for that order number. They said "a 2017 F150". When I asked if that was all they could see, the answer was yes.

Then I told them what I saw on COTUS about the vehicle being a 2016 Limited, and the reply I got was that it could be that the dealership reused an order number that may have been tied to a different vehicle they ordered in the past. I feel like that's quite possible, but why wouldn't the dealership just say that?

Anyway, there's the scoop. Shew! These next several weeks may get the best of me. Lol!

So this is where you've been hiding? That other forum kind of died. :death:

Well, I'm a n00b here. Only been around since right before I placed my order. Odd being a n00b again. Lol! I figured the other forum would die. It was the same bunch of moderator slurpers posting the same old circle-jerkery. Lol

I'm not questioning anyone's info or integrity, but how can there be anticipated delivery dates of 10/3-10/9 when production from what I've read here isn't supposed to start until 9/25?

Exactly the reason why I said I'm not holding my breath. Just going by the info that's available from Ford, which at this point, ain't much.

I'll be surprised if these show up on COTUS. It's a FP vehicle, like the 350, I really don't think COTUS will work.

@Dewserb my guess is your dealer uses the same order number for any placing a custom order versus dealer allocation

Good point about FP, @_M_ I hadn't thought of that. From what my dealer told me, my order is one of their allocations. According to them, ordering the way I ordered would be the fastest means of getting a Raptor to me.

Who knows? So much still up in the air. Heck, we don't even know the power specs yet!
