Do we know of any dealers that have made orders in ADDITION to their allocations?

Like, they have 5 allocated, but have placed 10+ orders?

I know this has been stated in a post from another forum, but I has also been questioned here on this forum. I'm a little confused and hoping someone can give me a factual and definitive answer. My question is, I have a Raptor on order that is a "stock" vehicle that they changed to my specifications, but I can also order from a different dealer that would be a "retail" order. Which one would I get first, or is there any difference? If it's a month difference, that's one thing, but if it's months, I'd rather order retail.

You can use different words but they are all the same thing... "stock" and "retail" do not matter when ordering.

I stated on another thread in detail the way factory ordering works so I will just give a short answer here.

FoMoCo gives out monthly Allocations to all it's dealers for every model it makes. If a dealer has "5 Allocations" for Raptors that is all FoMoCo will build for them until they get more Allocations. A dealer can "order" as many cars and trucks as it wants for "retail" or for "stock" but the orders will not be filled (trucks be built)until the dealer has been given more Allocation from FoMoCo. This keep a level playing field so no 1 dealer can "order" and get every Gt350 or every Raptor ford plans to build.

I called ford corporate last month. They said dealer stock would be first then a month or so later retail orders would show up. They also told me I can order a 2017 Raptor from any dealer I wanted. I don't think anyone really knows whats going on with the Raptor.

Sometimes manufactures will pre build first run new models before the order banks open to get 1 or 2 out to every dealer. For example we are getting the new 2017 Infiniti Q60 in a couple weeks and we have 5 already built and shipped to us even before we have any allocation to order that model.

I spoke with Ford marketing. They said stock allocated vehicles first with retail orders to follow 6-8 weeks later. Delivery in the fall. I guess we'll see soon enough.

This is what I pretty much tried to spell out. If an order falls within the allocation of the dealer, there isn't any additional waiting per say, right? The orders that fall outside of said allocation (Whether sold or not) are then put on the back burner until that dealer has more allocations given to them

Correct, all orders that are placed sit in an order bank and FoMoCo will pull the first order a dealer placed only when that dealer gets an Allocation for that model, all other orders will just sit in the order bank system in the order that they were placed.

Markup hell?!?! Just me??

Hey everyone, just looking for some input. So I just called my local ford dealership and set up an appointment for me to order my new Raptor. And while I was on the phone with him he was great; was very helpful. He told me that his dealership had an allocation of two of the trucks and because it was only me and one other guy in my area looking to buy them. After we set up a date and I told him what I was pretty sure I wanted on it I asked him if they would be asking at MSRP and if there was going to be a markup at all and he told me there wasn't because not that many people were interested in the truck in my area. Anyway I got off the phone very excited I was going to be getting the Raptor at a good price. Much to my surprise he called back a few minutes later and the whole story had changed! He said he had just talked to his general manager and all of the sudden there was only an allocation of one truck. And instead of the $2k original deposit i was going to put down (btw that I could then put towards the trucks price when I order it) there was now a $5k markup and I would quote "if I wanted one have to put down a considerable deposit; like the whole $5k to get an order" anyway guys I'm sorry I just feel like I'm getting ****** around. My questions are:
1. Anybody else who ordered did you pay a markup?
2. If so how much?
3. Do you know of any Dealerships in the Northeast Reigon (VT, NY, NH, ME, MA, RH, DE, etc.) that are selling at MSRP.
P.s. I'm willing to travel up to 250 miles from my town. (Barre, VT. 05641)

Find another dealer. There are good ones out there, just not many.

Call every single dealer in a 250 mile radius and I think you will probably find someone that will be happy to sell you a truck at MSRP or lower. Don't lead with the question asking if there is a markup, it could be somewhat suggestive. Ask them what their bottom dollar is on a factory ordered F150 Raptor. Start at invoice price and work your way up. Know ahead of time what options you want and what the invoice price will be. All of this information is available on this forum.
