Just started checking out this thread and I guess I have a lot to learn about the ordering/build process. If it's somewhere in the 300+ pages of the thread please let me know and I'll go answer my own question.

My question is I ordered a 19 3 weeks ago and what is the process as far as when I get Vin # and build date/schedule and how do I track it? From what I've read it looks like I won't get a Vin # until the build/order is accepted and then after that the rest of the dates should start coming up.

Is this even close to being right? Sorry for dumb question but the last 3 trucks I've bought I've been able to locate the exact truck I wanted so it's been a while since I ordered/built a truck.

Thank in advance.

Really looking forward to the 19 Raptor but actually won't be disappointed if it doesn't show up until March or so at the end of winter here in Maryland.

You need to get your order code/number from your dealer, and also their dealer code. Once you have that, contact Ford Performance and they will give you your VIN once it's generated, and they will have build updates.

The vehicle tracking website is hit or miss. I haven't been able to pull up my order yet but received a VIN four weeks ago.

If you ordered three weeks ago, I'd say you're looking at January/February for delivery.

Your truck will get a VIN when it gets scheduled.

Thanks for the information all. That's what my dealer said the vin# doesn't happen until it's scheduled. I'll have to read more on this thread and learn how to track my new Raptor as well. I did select the CF interior so who knows that might delay it but like I said I'm fine with end of winter. Just might have to mount up some fresh tires for winter on the F250 hate to waste the money but if I have to it's all good.

So far there hasn't been any evidence that CF delays builds, but plenty of speculation. Quite a few people have ordered CF or the accent package and were scheduled for the first build week.

It's far more likely that delays will be the product of assembly issues.

In short, I wouldn't worry about your options affecting your build timeline.

Agree. No signs of product delay but it seems either the OK to buy or something on the line delayed everyone else’s builds except for the first week or two of builds

Those 2 weeks of builds are sitting in a parking lot until "OK to buy". Once that is achieved, trucks will either ship or go back for corrections if needed. It's my understanding that the trucks coming down the line when "OK to buy" happens will be first in line to ship.

Yes. It took a month or so for OK to buy for 2017. All the first build guys sat on ramp 59 for 2 months. Stacked behind all the newest builds and shipped last. So if it takes another 1-3 weeks to get all the things moving my 11/26 week build may be delivered before your guys 10/26 builds
