GEN 2 Truck Order Discussion

Sick of waiting for ANY word on the VIN for my order which I placed on 2/3/17.
The dealer has an allocation of 3 and told me that the order had finally been accepted by Ford on 3/29.
The dealer should be (and seems to be) motivated since I have paid more than 51k down with the trade-in of my old truck last fall.
He tells me that Ford is very slow in processing the orders for Raptors.
Frankly - I'm thinking about just cancelling the order.. I really don't like the idea of paying over MSRP anyway.
If anyone from Ford is reading this (highly doubtful) they should really consider paying closer attention to the people ordering their cash-cow vehicles.. While I like Ford trucks, right now the Chebbies aren't looking bad and they're a butt-load less expensive!

Well my order "fell through" or more specifically my dealer took my order without an allocation. I don't believe their explanation at all. I think they jumped on the ADM train and sold my shit out from under me.

Sacramento Raptor Order

Hey all,

New here, name is Alex. I wanted to see what you guys thought of my Raptor order.

Placed 1/15

Magnetic Raptor with Bead Lock and Carbon Fiber Package.

I have heard that both bead lock and carbon fiber have caused delays.

I have not got a VIN or any information other than what my representative told me: "The carbon fiber package is on a national back order.... We have no control over that"

Obviously it is May. I have seen many wait just as long. So is this all sound normal to most of you? Should I be concerned? I hope the dealership has an allocation. I have not asked about that, but wasn't aware that was a thing until after this long delay. Also, I paid $7,500 over on the order, which sounds like a good deal. Am I getting yanked around, or should I continue to patiently wait?

Took a long time and lots of poking from dealer to my regional rep to get mine pulled. Given only 2.5 months left on 2017 builds and the fact that you paid 7500 over, I would shop around for existing on on the ground (raptorfinder.com) or find another dealer and place a 2018 order.
