How is $70k for a pre-owned truck a deal?

That truck has a $75k MSRP. Plus your getting $10k plus worth of add ons. That’s a great savings for a truck that only has 3500 miles.

The Gen 2s will continue to hold their value well regardless of COVID and the new Gen 3. So I would buy a low mileage 19-20 and not think twice.

Drive a beater for 6 months. Seriously. The prices will calm down by February

I don’t know why you all keep saying such. It is supply and demand. There will not be a new Raptor until the end of next year at the earliest. New to low mileage Raptors will not be depreciating during that time. And even when the Gen 3 is released, the Gen 2 will continue to be in demand given the price of the Gen 3 and ADM.

I just bought a 2020 with an MSRP of $74,440 for $65,940 + tax.. and a $399 dealer fee. I emailed over 50 dealers trying to get the deal I got on my 2019 ($8500 off), I found one that would do the deal and another that would do $5000 off the rest were zero discount or 3k.

That white one is a great deal.. lots of extras...

Yeah I did that the first time around found exactly what I wanted (or thought so @ The time...I’m all set w/ black again tho) and got a great deal. This time don’t really have the time - I’m surprised that people are so willing to pay that kinda coin for a used vehicle - an extreme offroad one at that- when new ones can be had for less than $10k more

I mean I appreciate That it’s the case b/c it helped me in terms
Or ins value, but it’s not something I would do, just too much $$$ for a used vehicle

the white one in NY does seem like a great deal in a way since only 3500 miles, but I mean.....why is it up for sale? Something seems weird

Peoples situations change all the time—especially in a pandemic year. He is actually a member on this forum—I forgot that he listed the truck a couple months back. You might able to get him to come off some more given that he hasn’t sold it: https://www.fordraptorforum.com/threads/2020-raptor-for-sale-74k.78963/#post-1548041

Either way, my point is that take your time and you can find the right deal. I don’t know why you wouldn’t want to get another Raptor. You originally started this thread concerned that you wouldn’t get $60k. Now your insurance is potentially going to give you a lot more than $60k. Take the money and go buy another one.

I’m doubtful, if we are lucky, the dollar will be worth 50 cents and gas will only be $6 a gallon.

You guys really are silly. Record high gas prices were double what they are now. Guess when that was? 2008. Guess what happened next?

Add-ons don’t really add-on unless it’s stuff you wanted. The used car market is already cooling down now. It’s not hitting specialty stuff yet but it’s all on its way as new car manufacturing ramps back up. Who cares if a new raptor is coming or not? It’s a pickup, and competes with premium pickups. Even the OP isn’t dead set on a Raptor, he just wants another expensive pickup. There will be way more to pick from in a few short months. Especially for under $70 freaking thousand.
