Go fast. The first part off the line and the last is fun if you can get your speed up high enough. Thats just the hard part. To be smooth you need to be over 40mph. I tried every time and only got one that was descent.

So you need to be at least 40 on the last jump as you head into the finish line? Did you try to jump the first big one as you approach the finish line?

I'm trying to remember. Half the time it was like f*ck it were going! And launched on them. I think there was one that we always tried to slow for. Same with the bad one off the start line with the single down arrow. Other than that I hit them

So going forward. What does everyone want to see? What did you like? What didn’t you like? I am open to any suggestion on making this event better and better.

Looking forward to the next one.

FIRST OFF! If ya didn't change a thing it will be a blast next time.

ONCE A YEAR for this one. It will mean more and be THE FRF EVENT!

After reading through the post so far, most have the same thoughts as I did. So if I repeat, waaaaaaaaa. I will break it down into groups.

THE FACILITY:

A SHOWER / ******* TRAILER: ( I know Trey thought what was there would work fine for 20 people. We had well over 100. HAHahaa. not his fault. )

THE MEET AND GREET: ( Have a meet and greet event atleast once where we all get to know who is who. I did a fair job of scocially drinking and meeting but still didn't meet everyone. ) NO MORE SCOCIAL DRINKING OF ALCHOHOL FOR ME ANYMORE DUE TO THE HOSPITAL STAY. Waaaaaaaaaa!

A FEW CHECK POINTS ON THE CORSE: ( I think if there were a few stops along the way where a driver and crew can stop safely off corse for a break and maybe a few moments of reflection. Not that to many of us would do that. We all treated this as a competition. We all know it was just a gathering. You all KNOW we are all very competitive people at heart, thats why we have our trucks. Maybe a check point / rest stop would easy that competative urge? HAhahaaaa. )

PICTURE TOUR: ( Spots along the track for those who want to set up a SAFE PLACE to get pics and video which can be accessed by the ranch roads. Also a morning and evening RANCH tour like the feeding and also some nature shoots of the ranch at sun up and sun down and just the beauty of the ranch in general. I know some folks got some privet and personal tours of the canyons and caves and such. I was asleep damnit! )

THE TRACK:

PARADE LAP: ( The parade lap was my fastest lap. Never having been at real speed off road, I was learning as we went. Not that I am a ******* behind the wheel but my first real time off road. A real SLOW parade lap with a break every so ofter would make for some good talk with others who have done this and get pointers about what we had just driven through. Maybe break it up into 10 truck groups. Bonding time! HAhahaa. I know there are some with a ton of track time that would find hanging with the NEWBIES would suck but if you are a SCOCIAL ***** us NEWBIES would love your help. I know it would take time so maybe this would need to be a 4 day event next time. Maybe specify it a NEWBIE DAY before the others even arrive. )

CLASS WARFARE: ( MAYBE more of a definate class line in the sand. I think that after a few miles on the corse most could see what they were in for. The ones with no fear of damage and have the funds to fix broken shit went for it. Those who know they are in their daily driver knew that they had a limit to stick too. . So a A B C class may not be what we need. More like a class for those with mods who want to thrash regardless off experiance which would ne most of us. HAHaha. Then the class for trucks like Rick has with all the REAL OFF ROAD STUFF and caged up. Then the respectable or flower sniffer class which many of us were in. Me I went in the C class the first lap, the parade lap. I passed a few trucks there, Ate dust for 30 minutes once before being let by. WHO WAS THAT? HAhahaa! I hammered at way more speed than I wanted but I was in a grove. The next day I backed it way down and went flower sniffing for the first half and did some 100% on the second half. Again, a few stops on the tougher sections where we can pull over SAFELY and take some pics since this was not a timed event. Maybe I would have survived better with a break? NAW!)

PRACTICE AREA: ( a short section where one can go try 2 wheel, 4 wheel, lock or not. A few jumps to try and maybe a mud hole to see if one can stick their shit. A mud pit for the entertainment factor? HAhahaaaaa.

EVENT

Not much to improve on other than a CONTACT INFO sheet is a good Idea. Just if something went bad wrong. A big party, photo shoot and name tags. Orginize a HELP TREY party so he does not have to do this alone next time. We won't tell Trey. HAhahaaaaaaaa. Thats it. Gotta run.

I'm fortunate too have a table top jump out back it is fun and fairly safe would be some good photo opportunity for people if you made one at the ranch just a thought. the one I've hit at 70+ the other 65+ you get some decent air the wife watched from the house one day it was wet and I didn't think I was getting very good air with a buddy in the truck, the wife said she could see air from over a half mile away the landing is so easy you don't think it's doing much I'll probably never make it to the Texas run sad maybe in 10 years I will it's just to far I farm and have 4 kid's out of curiosity would like to find center maybe a winter run would work in Texas and a summer run 8 hundred miles the other way another thought where are the most raptors probably Texas.
