My truck was built 2/18 and seems to be shifting too firmly into 3rd, and flaring going into 8th. Not constant, but enough to notice.

Only TSB I can find on google is for trucks built before 8/17, I believe. Anyone with a build date newer than 7/17 had an update done to the transmission and care to share the TSB or update number, or whatever?

Trying to avoid wasting time with the dealer trying to diagnose. Thanks.

Yes, my 2019 (Nov-18 build) with 3,000 miles is having trans issues. Took it in today because when the trans is warmed up it’s making a whine or high pitched noise. Sounds like a toy laser or the jetsons car from the cartoon. Changes pitch with RPM. Sound is very pronounced if you get under the truck or when you pull into the garage. Has anyone else had this noise?

On top of the noise it’s having shifting issues since day one. Hard shifting, holding gears, dropping down a gear with a very hard shift and loud clunk at low speeds, hesitation like it doesn’t know what gear to pick, thud when shifting in and out of park, shifts then bogs down and feels like it picked the wrong gear (like shifting a manual into too high a gear). All of this is random so I doubt they will be able to reproduce it unless they keep it and drive it for a few days.

They mentioned a TSB that will solve all the shifting issues. When I asked if it’s the one that addresses the builds before May-18 he didn’t know. Said they were going to re-flash it either way along with inspecting the noise issue. Goes in Thursday.
