I'd think they'd have a hard time blaming your wheels, but what other mods do you have?

Pretty easy for a dealer to make the argument that by tuning and making more power you have added stress to the drive train and therefore voided your warranty. I know this is very common with tuned superdutys. Hopefully your dealer is cool.

I have 3000 miles on mine and have had some issues. Towing my boat two weeks ago and started to drive and had nothing just rpms reving up in second gear and 3 gear. Pulled over put in Park waited and drove off and had some bizzare noises for past week from below the vehicle and this week now some extreme grinding on the Hwy and massive clunks once it grabs. As I feather the gas at 70 mpi I had this extreme grinding and slipping then clunks and shakes the truck. Kept it in cruise for 1.5 hours at 70 mph and got home safe. Now in low gears I get clunky noises. Ever since that tow and slipping two weeks ago shit has started to go bad fast. Goes in monday to ford. Hope they don't pull some shit about the mods and big ass wheels.

I think that the tune will hurt your warranty chances. Your best bet would have been to go back to stock tune while it was still drivable and get s fresh drive cycle in it. The more miles you can put on it with the stock tune, the harder it will be to show you had a tune.

Be prepared to pay out of pocket for this transmission work. Until the 10spd and this ecoboost get fully sorted out, your best bet is to stay stock.

No engine and trans platform is every fully sorted out.

I agree though, the tune compromises your powertrain and emissions warranty. If the dealer is staffed with gear heads though, probably the downpipes won’t hurt you.

It might behoove you to ‘shop around’ a bit and just ask. Most will tell you straight up if they’re flexible ( that is, reasonably versed in what breaks and what causes breaking and if your mods -truly- caused the breakage or were just along for the ride ).

It's been on stock tune for last while now. I haven't had it on any other tune for past 500 miles. The tuner just went in 3 weeks ago and I've removed the tuner.

If you have been driving around on the stock tune for 500 plus miles, you might be ok. The other mods will make them question it and put it under a microscope though.
