On my 2017 I had a torque converter failure and my transmission gauge went into the red they had to replace or rebuild the whole transmission and replace the torque converter blah blah blah. If they have it over 30 days for the same issue You can start a lemon law procedure. Hook up with an attorney that handles lemon law cases. Dealer ended up putting me in a 2018.

I had similar issues with my 17. Trans overheated and blew fluid out all under the truck while I was towing my 26' camper. Good thing I kept my Gen 1 around for a spare.

3 times at the dealer and they could not duplicate, so I added the mishimoto trans cooler, No overheating since.

Shifting is still often very odd to say the least. Transmission is definily a POS, I guess that what you get when GM and Ford try to engineer something together.

I will keep an eye on this.

Mine likes to bang into gear when I put it into drive. No shifting issues thus far, but its a little harsh in sport mode sometimes.

I had very harsh shifts especially down shifting from 4 to 3 and when going from park to drive. HARD shifts. Took it to Ken Grody and they reprogrammed the transmission computer to the newest and greatest updates. 2017 SCREW with 19k. It's wonderful now. The best and smoothest its ever been.

I had exactly the same symptoms and had it in for service / recalls in February. They applied "updates" and it was perfectly smooth again. Started again in the last 6 weeks and is currently back in for service for the tranny + a cracked start/stop ignition button and locked rear seat belt. This will get old taking it in every 6 months if that is the 'solution'.

I had shifting issues, once fixed by the reflash, only to show up again later on. If you're handy with Forscan, you can reset the transmission adaptive learning. Worked for me, took less than 5 minutes.
