Description
On your vehicle, you may experience no reverse motion when the gear selector is placed in reverse. This may result in the vehicle moving forward with the gear selector in either the reverse or neutral position. The malfunction indictor light mil and wrench light will illuminate when this malfunction occurs.
Safety Risk
Unexpected vehicle motion can increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Parts are not available. Ford Motor Company is working to provide parts for this repair. When the remedy becomes available, Ford will notify you via mail to schedule a service appointment with your retailer for repairs to be completed free of charge. The remedy is anticipated to be available in the second quarter of 2025.
