So just an update, the dealer replaced the driveshaft slip yoke and universal, and the squeak/squawk is completely gone. The check engine light was just an O2 sensor which they also replaced. Driven the truck quite a bit now since the tranny rebuild and it seems to be working flawlessly. Time will tell.
I certainly didn't mean to start an argument on the Raptor's overall reliability. I was merely sharing my experience, in which my 7 month old truck has spent a total of 25 days at the dealer's service department. Anomaly? Yes. A problem specific to the Raptor? No. Incredibly frustrating especially considering the price tag of the truck? Most definitely. If Ford had a better system of getting repair parts to their dealers in a timely fashion it would alleviate a bit of said frustration.
I've got a 1600 mile plus round trip way up to Wollaston Lake in northern Saskatchewan, about 120 miles shy of the Northwest Territories border next month. Most of the drive is desolate Canadian boreal forest with no cell service, so you can bet I'm a little concerned considering what's happened with the truck so far. Oh well, I'll be bringing a satellite phone and plenty of beer to keep morale up should we have to wait for a tow truck.
