This exact issue just occurred to me today. Grinding, racheting noise and will not go in any gear. Sounds like transfer case but will we see in upcoming days. 2018 Supercrew 544 MILES. I know its a little early to speculate but any info on how to deal with this would be appreciated. Would really like a new truck if its possible. Thanks guys.

Unless your dealer does it for you, you will not get a new truck for a t-case failure, just forget about that. Get it replaced and drive it- who cares if it was replaced?

Plus, why would you want to bin the whole vehicle for a single failed hard part? If your truck is working fine otherwise, replace the failed part and move on with life.

Now, if you’ve been back to the dealer a dozen times with different issues.... ok, I get it.

Just worried about taking a 2000 mile road trip. But I understand these things happen I have to let them fix it and see what happens.
