Ha ha. I relocated the relay behind the battery and it's been just fine so far - though I can't say it has been long enough to be conclusive. I also ordered up a waterproof relay I'll use if there's a next time.

Lately my challenge has been finding my onboard air leaks. I think I have them mostly taken care of, but I think I have a bad check valve, so waiting for the replacement to show up.

Update: Train horn still working fine, I'm pretty sure the relay location (getting wet) WAS the issue.

I also finally tracked down all of my onboard air leaks. My system now seems to hold 140-150psi as far as I've been able to tell. The biggest culprits were those stupid barb connectors. I replaced every one with compression fittings and along with a couple other small changes everything is behaving.
