I liked the 4a setting for driving around town when it was raining and the roads were slick. My 2018 would light the rear tires up without any effort. Now I’m in a first generation truck and they don’t have 4a. Back to driving like SpongeBob taking his driver’s license test and using his big toe!

i currently have a 2024 gmc at4x and I'm debating trading it in toward a 2025 raptor with the 801a standard package in space white. Just wanting to get any sort of opinion on the raptor compared to the at4x. Personally it's the looks and second the turbo eco boost motor compared to the 6.2l gmc motor which is just slow and boring.
Any comments or insight on what made you purchase a raptor. Thanks
Did the trade myself on a 2024 AT4X AEV Edition to the 2024 801a in Shelter Green. No regrets at all !!! Raptor is the way to go. Comfort, power, looks, smoothness w/muscle.

I pondered about this myself for several months. Recently made the switch from ZR2 into a 2024 802A.

Raptor is butter smooth on the road and highway, it just floats. It’s very comfortable, can’t even tell it’s wider. Off road there is no comparison with the Raptor suspension I was very impressed the first time I took it off road. Recaro seats are great and almost feel German car like, very sporty. When in sport suspension it makes it feel a bit stiffer, reminded me of the ZR2 but even then it handles better and eats up road imperfections better than the ZR2, likely due to the 5 link rear suspension vs leaf springs. Raptor is great at being able to change suspension firmness on the go from your steering wheel, exhaust sound and handling dynamics making it a lot more fun. Ecoboost though sounds like shit compared to the V8 feels more responsive/ quicker even on 37s. In comparison my ZR2 had 35s and a leveling kit and I average about the same MPGs 15-16.

Chevys interior surprisingly had far less squeaks and rattles, was quieter, and had more soft touch materials compared to hard plastics on the Raptor. Doors rattle like crazy on the Raptor with loud music too. Camera system, very similar features but ZR2 had a cleaner/clearer picture. I used the front lockers once to get out of a sticky situation in 2 years of owning, though no front lockers present in the Raptor it’s would be a nice to have.

Would I go back to a ZR2 after owning the Raptor for a few weeks now? That’s gonna be a no for me dog. I’m already planning on putting some killmat or something on the Raptor doors for rattles and the rest are minimal trade offs for a better ride.
