For the most part you are looking at a 9k delta to get rid of 23,000 miles. FWIW it would be like leasing your truck for a year at about $750 a month, which would be a really good deal. This assumes you only have to pay taxes on the 9k price difference. If you have to pay full sales tax on the 68k then I would not do it. If you only have to pay taxes on the 9k then I think its a pretty good deal. Your 19 will always be worth +/- $5k (or some number in that range) than the 18 just due to the year model when it comes time to trade, so you are not really "
losing" all of the 9k difference.

I think the $59k trade offer is pretty good, but the $9k delta is too much for the same vehicle. Yes, that $9k gets new shocks, better looking wheels, and some tech upgrades... but maybe the biggest value is starting the warranty over again.

I would sell them your truck for $59k, and get something else.

Just traded my 18' leadfoot 802A for a 19' 802A with Recaro seats. All happened pretty seamlessly and surprising really. I was trying to sell a 16' Audi A7.....reached out to a buddy at dealership and ended up trading my Raptor and Audi in on the 19'. Got it below MSRP and they swapped all my accessories from truck to truck in the deal.

Love the 19'. Seats are awesome and it is noticeably smoother riding than the 18'.

And 23K less miles. Sounds like a good deal to me.

I’d consider waiting for the 2020 since it is so close
But in the OPs case is he going to get the same 6k off of the 2020 right when it comes out, or will he have to wait three to four months after they come out to get the same discount. Also what if MSRP rises on the 2020? His 9k delta right now may become a 13k delta pretty easily.

I have a fully loaded 2018 with 1,563 miles with carbon fiber package, graphic package, 802 a, borla atak exhaust with carbon fiber tips, retracing electric bed cover, bead lock wheels, scorcher pro tuner and tunes, rigid tri pod lights. Garaged the entire time. Unexpectedly picked up a challenger. . 78k if anyone interested

I traded in my ‘17. One reason was I did. It like the seat cushion. Found it too short. When they announced Recaros, first thing I did was have a salesman measure the cushion. When he told me it was close to an inch deeper, I immediately went to see it and bought it.

So the seats and the shocks are better. If I were you, for only 9k it’s a no brainer to get a brand new vehicle.

I hear ya but it’s so close to the announcement of changes for the 2020, why not wait another month just to see. Deals can only get better

As long as you're not picky about colors and options. The deals may get better but they'll stop making the previous model year so you'll only get to choose from what's left. If you're not picky then wait.
