I think we will have to agree to disagree that the trade offs that were made for a measly 39 horsepower were worth it.

6.2 > 3.5

Love my gen 2 but I’d pay real money to have a new 6.2 in mine. Don’t care it has less power. The gen 2 with the 6.2 would be the ultimate 1/2 ton.

Seems like ford keeps increasing displacement on superdutys ( 6.2 / 7.3) instead of going to eco platforms? There has to be a reason?

The F-150 is their top seller and they don’t have enough eco friendly cars to offset having V8 1/2 tons. 3/4 tons and up don’t have the same emission standards so they can get away with it.
