I would rotate them every 5k, I've had two sets of Toyo MT's that went 60k with 5k rotations.

I have been running the 35x12.50x20 on my chevy. i rotate them every 3k miles and balance them every other time (balancing is as important as rotating to get the longevity). Got 65k out of my first set and am on my second set now. If you are running 17" wheels you will probably get even more miles out of the tires. All in all, the tires are outstanding!! They are all I use on all my vehicles.

are they really good in snow though? they don't have any siping on the lugs do they?

The lugs have siping. I would take a picture but my truck with the M/T's is garaged in AZ.

Found this on the internet...

Awesome performance offroad, aggressive look, long wear without chucking, and minimal noise onroad. TOYO M/T's are the best all-atound tire for non-street queen Raptors that money can buy imo.

Honestly if ya don't mind more noise (some are much louder than others), competitors like the Grappler and Baja Claw seem fairly comparable (as compared to the red letter Generals which look cool but mostly get sacked by Raptor owners). I believe NITTOs and TOYOs are made by the same company? My wife noticed when I dumped my exhaust. However she has never commented on tire noise since I switched from the BFG's to TOYOs

Your right. Toyo i believe is the parent company for Nitto.

Funny story about the noise of my Mud grapplers.... So we are driving down the road and have the Fiancee's Nephews 4 and 7 in the back seat of the truck. All the windows are down and they are yelling "do lighning Macqueen" Which is WOT so they can hear the exhaust cutout. After we get up to speed the little one is looking really really hard out the window. I ask him "What are you doing" and he says "looking for that air plane, but can't see one" . I look out the window before I say something and tell him "there is no plan" he goes "yes there is can't you hear it?" haha I almost lost it because he thought the tires sounded enough like an air plane to actually start looking for one! Kids they say some funny chit!

I do agree with you there are a few tires that do really well all the way around and from those really depends on what you want. Right now I'm on my 3rd set getting ready to go to my 4th and my father is running 2 sets currently of the mud grapplers. Really other than noise fits my style 100% and I like LOUD so noise not an issue for me haha.

I'm sure Netix will have something to say about how the mud grapplers do after the snowball.

I love loud exhaust and don't mind noisy tires, but was on a 3 hour hi-way trip with Mud Grapplers and your ears after an hour or two get so fatigued and annoyed.

So you have the Nitto Trail Grapplers and you feel like they are louder than the Toyo's? Is it just a little or a lot of difference in noise between these two? Thanks!

Yes, they are louder than the Toyo's, not by much, but they are louder. Now Nitto Mud Grapplers are a lot louder than Nitto Trail Grapplers.

Are the Nitto Trail Grapplers bad tires? Absolutely not. I have 22,000 miles on my set and they are wearing extremely well. Much better than my Toyos did, but that was because I had bad struts and other suspension issues the dealer couldn't fix.

Would I buy Trail Grapplers again? Yes, but only if they didn't have Toyos. They are both good tires, but I think Toyos are better.

The only time the Trail Grapplers are better than the Toyos is wet traction. The Toyos were a little more slick in wet traction, but that could have been due to previous wear issues I had because of the suspension issues when I had the Toyos.

All in all, you can't go wrong with either, but having owned both, I will put Toyos on when I do wheels/tires on my Raptor.
