I'm looking at Toyo MT's, and have a question about sizes. The LT315/70R18 is 35.7" dia x 13.0" wide, and weighs 72 lbs. The 35x12.50R18 is 35.0" dia x 13.2" wide, and weighs 81lbs. How can a tire that's .7" shorter and only .2" wider weigh 9 lbs more? I like the idea of the taller 315's- anyone running these?

Thanks!

I'm running the 315/70r18 Toyo M/Ts. I found that they fill the fenders very well and look awesome with my Method Race Wheel mesh 18x9's. They are heavy but I have yet to puncture them on 2 Texas Raptor Runs and several offroad runs here.

BTW OP the 315/70R18 weighs 82lbs. You might have been looking at the 295/70R18 that weighs 73lbs

Im running these tires and when I first got them the truck seriously pulled to the right. I took it in for an alignment and told the guy i was getting radial pull, he fixed the problem and now truck runs straight. Tires fill the wheel wells nicely with out having to go top perch, very very little rub on full turn and bump, and to me they are much more quiet than my Nitto MTs on road. Off road they work great with tons of traction and no chunking (as of yet). Im up in the sierras and not out in the sand dunes, maybe if I was more desert living I would choose a dif tire.
