I have 2 of them in case I need to pull somebody out and all they have is an empty receiver...but can't stand all the clunking sounds when driving around town when it's in my receiver...

Mine doesn't clunk. Maybe it's rusted right to the receiver because it hasn't been removed in about a year and a half? If I need to tow anything I use my 2001 super duty.

Yup have one. For the purpose on people getting too close to the rear bumper in parking lots.

Here is a trail of a fluorescent spray paint in orange that was the only color found on the shelf at time.

Probably will switch to RED color later on.

You can get a military surpluss shackle that straddles receiver. Makes a clean install. As well with a strap with a 2 inch eye you can push it into receiver and cross pin it

I run one just to have something in there. Keeps salt and spray out of it in the northeast. I use O-Rings to keep it from clunking which keeps it nice and tight.

I could leave it in my truck and pull it out when needed but now it's always there if I need it. Also, it's nice to have something there just in case some idiot decides to try and kiss my back bumper. It also has a nice look to it, I think.

I have one for this reason...sticks out just enough to "protect" the bumper.
