Totaled or not?

I run a Collision Center. It definitely is up to the shop to figure it out. It is up to the Insurnace Co to decide how much they will spend. Your choice plays a factor although not a huge one. Just make sure the shop it is at is not looking at that repair with $$$ in their eyes. When I am deciding I look at it like I do not want a second ex-wife. No matter how good of a repair job is completed on that vehicle, it will never be the same and every issue that ever arrises will be part of the accident, whether it is or not.

I work at a collision center too. I'm gonna guess it's totaled but it will be insurances final decision. I do want to go on record and say that even if the frame is bent it may not be a total, the whole frame can be replaced. I say this because three years ago Geico paid to have a rear frame section replaced on a 2013 raptor, from the cab back was replaced. My concern would be hidden damage to the drivetrain that may not show up for a few months.

Hey y’all, yesterday I was in an accident. Some old man ran a red light running about 55/60 mph and hit the front end of my truck as I was turning left. No airbags deployed in my truck (his did), and luckily no major injuries on either end. Truck was moved about 20/25ft from where impact happened to where it finally came to rest. I’m currently waiting on the insurance company to let me know what they’re gonna do and if they’re gonna fix it or total it but figured I’d ask y’all for input just to get an idea while I’m stuck waiting without my truck. Other than the obvious damage in the pictures the back glass also busted

With the back glass being busted this indicates to me that the truck twisted pretty badly. Even if they don't total it, that truck would never sit in my driveway again.

Damn...glad you are OK. The pictures are so painful to look at I feel like I was in the accident with you. If they do fix it make sure to submit a diminished value claim with the insurance company as they typically don't bring it up until you ask for it. In any case I would dump it as soon as it was repaired. Hidden damage will show up in the future and it will never be the same. Just my 2 cents.

Wow...that really sucks, whatever the outcome.
Hope they total it.
Otherwise, repair it and trade it in on a Gen 3.

Wow, another second and right at the driver's door. Count your blessings! Anyways, If fixable and you like to hit the dirt hard......Being an optimist, I see a full long travel kit, glass fenders and 37s and then go send it. Or kill it and bury it, as someone said.
