the fact it twisted the cab enough to blow the back window out makes me lean towards totaled.

A bent frame is not the death wish it once was, they are easily swapped these days. My buddy has 2018 XLT F150 that got hit in the front corner and the control arm bent the frame at the mount. They swapped everything onto a new frame, replaced the damage (nowhere near as bad as this) and you can't even tell. There are some videos on youtube showing them do a frame replacement.

That’ll buff right out.

Sorry, had to say it. That thing is totaled.

Most importantly get yourself checked out. As noted, adrenaline can hide all kinds of injury right after an accident. I was rear ended several years ago in my Gen 1 and it took a little while for injury to come out.

My best guess totaled- and I’ve spent 30 years running body shops. Raptor frames at the front wheel are very vulnerable. Just because the frame is bent doesn’t mean it’s totaled, but a bend right behind the front wheel is very difficult to fix.

now, insurance company and body shop don’t always have your best interests at heart. I’ll throw out some of the worst insurance companies- Geico, Progressive, Allstate- all use garbage and aftermarket parts and really are poorly trained at looking at damage
If there is any damage to the firewall Apillar or rocker that extend into the cab, don’t let them fix it
Rad,
Just rolled my 3 day old 2022. Insurance right now is trying to not total it. The damage is extensive, and I can’t make sense how they possibly think it’s repairable. Both a pillars are damaged. Can you expound in what you mean by don’t let them fix it? I’m hoping they total it, any input would be appreciated.

I think this one will come down to cost for the repair. And if it hits the magic number, they will total it.
