I had a 16 Lariat FX4 with this feature that I sold and now waiting on my Raptor order. I used to drive in 4A all the time (left it on) There was never any binding feeling, the only thing I noticed was the truck was snappier off the line, you could hear more vehicle noise (front power distribution) and that was it. I didn't even notice much if any MPG drop and if you chose the view in your gauge cluster like mentioned above the 4A system puts power to the front all the time. It's like driving your truck in All Wheel Drive and the sophisticated system will provide power where it needs to based on the feed back (road conditions) A decent amount of people on one of the F150 Forums I frequented said they'd always leave their vehicle in 4A as well and never any issues.

My truck does not walk the front wheels at all in 4A, rain or no rain. Does not sound like yours is functioning properly to me. My front will walk in 4wd, but not 4A.
Agreed, just tried my 4A out yesterday. No difference parking than when in 2WD.

One thing though that ****** me off - put it in 4A and turn the truck off...stays in 4A after the restart...okay fine, but why can't it do the same with tow/haul mode? That still doesn't make sense to me...

Mine definitely comes on all the time on dry perfect roads at nowhere near hard acceleration. So either yours is broke, or mine is.

Mine sends power to the front when driving normally too
