Good point,if the gas station was close to home..otherwise if bad gas would of started way faster....Years ago I got a bad batch driving cross country in a brand new Chevy Van(no comments,it was MANY years ago,early 80's)...within 25 miles it was running terrible...brought to dealer,since still under warranty...told them it happened after a fill up....and yeah..they drained it and full of water...new fuel pump and back on the road next day.....you said, stopped at the Gas station, something wrong with the gas

dealer filled the truck up with gas, said he used 93 octane. Bad gas would cause heavy white smoke?. He is adamant that it did not do that the whole week he drove it around before listing it.
