I'm sure this question has been asked before, but I'm looking for a hard roll up tonneau cover and I'm not sure which one to go with.
I'd appreciate anyone's experiences and recommendations.
Thanks.

Had this one Truck Covers USA | American Roll Cover from Truck Covers USA on my '14 & was really happy with it. Like the locking system - don't have to mess with a separate key. Do lose a little room with the canister portion though.

Thanks to Rick at Freedom Motorsports, I got my MX4 shipped fast at a great price. Installed myself and absolutely love it. I really like the Matte finish on the Magnetic truck.

Looks good! Did you have to drill into the factory bed liner to user the drain plugs?

Has anyone had a Bak Revolver x2, or the Truxedo Platium hard roll up bed covers? If so, pros cons? Thanks

I tried the X2. Its was not crazy about the way it would not always lay flat or the way they shimmed the sides to make it fit. Try the Mx4 or the Peragon. Both of them are aces in my book.

I went with retrax. I wanted a bakflip but their lack of security made me drop that idea.

The fold a cover g4 elite fixes the security flaw with bakflips, but it isn't flush fitting.

Revolver X2 - not happy - my review

Has anyone had a Bak Revolver x2, or the Truxedo Platium hard roll up bed covers? If so, pros cons? Thanks

Yeah, right now...and I'm not at ALL happy with it and it's going back!

1. The tails of the rails extend PAST THE BED and overhang the tailgate. I KNEW this was going to be a potential problem after I saw it installed, but took the chance. Sorry I did...the rails slipped (bent) down and ended up GOUGING the tail-cap of the tailgate! Plastic and minor, yeah, but really ****** me off.

2. The cover, ESPECIALLY AT THE TAIL, is SUPER FLIMSY and WILL BEND downward thus blocking the tailgate from closing when the cover is down a locked in place.

3. BAK has not perfected the whole "shim" deal. Even though they are behind the rail and covered, they're just crappy pieces of plastic with NO taper on them. This leads to a real problem trying to get the correct angle on the rails WHICH IS CRITICALLY IMPORTANT this this cover!!! The bed of the 2017 seems to have a minor angle change at the tail end of the bed rails which means that the BAK's rails should actually have DIFFERENT (or no) shims on certain parts of the rails in order to make it perfectly square. Their instructions do NOT work for my 2017 Raptor's bed!

4. Lastly, their quality control on the seal IS AWFUL. Every corner has a merging of several seals ALL OF WHICH have come "unglued" from each other, thus causing a HUGE leak potential!! I showed this to a Rep at BAK, and he confirmed that it's not good at all. In fact, he admitted the X2 is just not nearly as good as a fit as the MX4.

AND, for those of you who think this cover is strong enough to set anything on...forget it! I can't see it supporting anything without the risk of sagging or bending it to the point of having issues listed in #2 above. My G2 is still awesome after 5 years on my '12. It can be folded back and SAT or STOOD on without any risk of bending.

My 3 or more cents worth. ;-)

I have the Revolver X2 - I've had it installed for 3 weeks now. It has some issues. Not sure I'm going to keep it.
Rubber seals along the bedside rails have a ton of waffling. Supposedly a hair dryer/heat will lay it down. Too much rain going on here right now to try that, so we'll see - though another user on the FB group with the same X2 cover reports it really didn't work for him.

Tailgate won't drop open freely with the X2. It's too tight.

Pull cord can be fished by a 6 year old with a coat hanger, allowing it to be opened.

It leaks - more than a tonneau cover should. The seals at the end of the rail have a larger gap in them than I've seen other covers have. This is annoying for $850+.

Cover lays down and "locks" into a track in each rail. These suck in the snow/ice. Sometimes they don't lay in the track and it doesn't lock in.

Quite often I have to bang the shit out of the cover at the rails where the "locking" mechanisms are to get them to lock down - particularly when it's cold out. This is stupid.

I like that the cover rolls up and doesn't take up space in the bed, but if these issues can't be overcome, **** it, back it goes.

+1 :-(
