Tone codes?

I'm dropping off my Icom F5021 at a local shop for programming with the PCI Race Radio stock frequency list and the guy at the shop asked me about tone codes. I don't see it on the list and it is a new one to me. Is it something I"ll need to give him or is it not relevant for what we use the radios for?
