Is it possible to go to top perch and use an after market spring, to solve the problem of harsher ride from pre-loading the spring, not sure if it would help with the CV though.

The top perch will take care of a lot of it but not all of it. Example when wheels are turned and the suspension goes into travel it just might tear up something pretty good. Do the top perch and then see what happens but the M/Ts you have while look very cool have wide lugs--wider than most that can give you fits. My MTR's would just barely rub during aggressive suspension travel with the wheels at close to lock. Only did it once but if it does it once it can do it again lol.

Good Luck..

For those that think the ride is too harsh on the top perch-----guess you have never had a real 4wd with the old straight axle LOL! Some of those things would rattle your fillings loose!:Sumo:

On frost cracked roads and cement highways I get an annoying constant bouncing feeling all the way down the road in the Raptor, it's so annoying I avoid those roads in the Raptor.
I actually own and still drive a Jeep XJ and a Classic 77 Bronco both have the strait axle and on those same roads they don't have that annoying up and down bounce. As for having a harsh ride my fillings are fine after riding in those vehicles.

I'm not advising this... but have you disconnected the sway and tried those same roads? I'll bet you'll be shocked at the difference.

HAHAHA---Those are for little ole ladies lol (just kidding). I am talking about 1 ton trucks! Parking lot speed bump would send you into the ceiling if you were not careful! Still to this day when I know I am doing to hit a big bump---just out of pain in the past will **** my head to the right!!:baby: Can remember some knots on my head from a old Ford I had!!

No I only have about 500 miles on the truck so far and I have only come across 3 roads that have that effect on the truck and I will avoid them if I have any passengers because I don't want friends to know how bad this thing runs.
My first commute with the truck was driving my daughter to school and on this one long road we bounced up and down very quickly all the way down the road. I thought my god if this is how the truck is going to be I'll have to take a loss and get rid of it. Luckily it does not act that way on all roads.

What PSI are you running in the tires?

Maybe we can help you figure out what's going on, because in my experience both as an owner and long time forum surfer you're the first I've heard have this sort of complaint. That makes me think there's something unique about your setup, and I'm betting it might easily be solved.

No... I have this issue as well. Just never thought much of it.
