Word For The Wise... Leave your windows up when off-roading if you have tint. The vibrations between the seal and window with a little added abrasion material, leaves nasty scratches.

20 over the rear and 2 layers of 20 on the front

Suggestions on 35 front with the 20 on the back
is it worth the chance to do the 20 on the front to match the back doors???

I know people on here do both, scared the 35 on the fronts doors will look bad with the 20 on the back.

I've got 15 everywhere and 50 on the windshield

Word For The Wise... Leave your windows up when off-roading if you have tint. The vibrations between the seal and window with a little added abrasion material, leaves nasty scratches.

The tint I'm putting on is guarnteed against scratches. I've used it/them before and it's outstanding. I believe most shops sell or can sell scratch proof tint now....just a little more expensive.

and I am completely assuming the rear tint on 2 back door windows is 20 percent?????????????

Factory tint is 20% on the rear.

I run 15% all the way around with F1 Pinnacle Ceramic (heat reistant), 60% Solar Adaptive tint on the sunroof (very heat resistant and acts like transition lenses), and 5% Huper Optik on the eyebrow of the windshield.

I just had them put 20% on the fronts and it matches the OEM stuff pretty well.

I live in MD. I had 20% on my M3, Evo, and CooperS.

State or County guys never messed with me. Even when I got pulled over.

Only guys that have stopped me for something stupid like that were base cops for front license plate missing.

I'm debating whether or not to go that dark again.

I got pulled over in VA with PA tags and the cop wrote me a ticket for tint violation. I asked how he could write me a ticket with out of state tags for tint. He knew the tint laws in PA and said that since I was not legal in my own state, that he was able to site me for having illegal tint in VA. It was just some county mounty looking to boost revenue for his district. I have never been bothered in MD, the cops in the DC area have bigger things to worry about than tint violations.

That's not even close to legal. They swear an oath to the state. Meaning they enforce the laws of their state. Challenging that might have gotten him hemmed up.

A have a few buddies that have 5 on 5 and even when you cup your hands around eyes against the windows you can't see in. It's really dark and cool inside in the summer which is great and we just drive with the windows down at night
