I currently own a 2008 F250 crew cab short bed diesel, and its out of warranty, and i no longer need to tow as much as i have in the past. That being said, i want to stay in the Ford family.
Been looking at the Raptors for a while and finally got approval from the wifey to purchase one. Thats where the problems begin.......kinda.
Stuck on color choice. Its between Oxford While, Ingot Silver or Terrain. My wifes Benz is silver, my f250 is silver, and my Chevelle is silver. Kind of want to get away from that. White to me looks like a work truck, but the Raptor wears it well. And i like that Terrain is only offered on the Raptor.
The other big hangup is finding a dealer around Tucson or Phoenix that is willing to work on pricing. I can order a 2014 at MSRP from a dealer outside tucson, but theres no guarantee the order will get filled.
I am looking at one in Phx at Peoria Ford that has already been built up with all sorts of ADD goodies, but we are haggling on price and making sure that all the aftermarket things that were put on would be covered under the factory warranty (and getting it put in writing).
I am not a newb to offroading, i have a 2011 Wrangler that is built to handle almost any rocky terrain around, (3.5" long travel, coil overs up front, on 37s) and it sees its share of abuse. but there are some trail rides that id like to have something that rides a little more like a cadillac than a brick on wheels - thats where the Raptor comes in. I feel it would be the perfect compliment to the Jeep.
