Thoughts on trading '18 Raptor for new '19/'20 Limited?

You know how many Limited F150's I saw today? I have no idea.
I did see 2 Raptors though.

That's part of the deal...the Limited is more of a stealth bomber/Qship. The Raptor stands out, both good and bad. I get tired of every Donnie with an intake and exhaust trying to race me. Where I am in SC, I see more and more Raptors. I do love it, though. And I do go offroad a decent amount. Plus, my wife says it's a "boyfriend" truck, and the KR/Limited are "Dad" trucks.

I went Raptor to a Platinum and back to a Raptor. Couldn't wait to get back.

Good luck! Any one of the two should serve you well.

Maybe I missed it somewhere, but are you having cam phaser problems or just expecting problems?

Having them, waiting on parts for the fix. They were supposed to be ordered right before the virus stuff started, so not sure where it stands.

I would like to at least test drive a Limited, and a '19/20 Raptor to see how different the new suspension is.

I’m assuming the Cam Phasers are being replaced under warranty. I’d just get the Raptor fixed and then enjoy it. From there I’d wait to see the new Raptor with the updated interior and make a change then. I don’t think the suspension change in 2019 is worth making a change right now.

I traded my 2014 Raptor in 2016 and went through 4 other new trucks. None of them were even close to a Raptor so last year I bought a 2019 and i'm finally happy with my truck again. Unless you don't like your truck or can't afford it I think you will be sorry after the new car feel wears off.

That is surprising you are having trouble getting parts. We just did one last week. Dealer had everything in stock. The supply chain should not have dried up that fast.

It sounds like the Limited is the way to go for you. I don't say this out of any sort of spite or anything, but the way I see it, you've been around for a while. You know what you have and you know what you're looking to get into. You also know if you actually take advantage of the Raptors capabilities or if you stick to the pavement. Since this is all information you know, you also know that the side-grade your considering will make you less capable off-road but give you better on-road practicality. It sounds like the only real reason you may want to stay in the Raptor is that it's a Raptor and stands out, not because you really take advantage of it's capabilities.
