I've got about 95k miles on mine and my extended warranty goes until like 127k miles. I've only needed it for the cam phasers so far. I love this truck but I would not still have it if I didn't have this warranty. The warranty allows me to keep it, keep driving the shit out of it without a care.

You do still have to pay for the regular service which can add up but keeps you protected from the stuff that really hurts.

The only other major issue I had was a stupid cat that came up with the "efficiency warning" at about 81k miles, and the emissions warranty went until 80k. Catted downpipes are such an upgrade though, glad I did them.

I got my 2020 and purchased the Flood ESP 100K warranty for about $1500 and it has paid for itself. At 60K miles truck was shifting hard, dealer didn't mess around and just swapped out the transmission for a new one. In owning it the warranty has covered cam phasers, front diff leak, IWE issue, valve cover oil leak, so just with all those repairs definitely exceed the amount I paid for the warranty. Its better to have it and not need it, then need it and not have it.

I've had the Ford Protect extended warranty since I purchased the truck in 2013, good for 14 years or 160,000 miles. It has come in handy for blend door replacement, evaporator and several other electrical issues. I've got 108,000 miles.

Ford ESP. Have it and it paid for itself within the first year. Now at 95000 it time for the cam phasers. Warranty is to 100K. Glad I have it and worth the money. Just look at what any of the multiple electronics would cost to replace and they can go bad just sitting there.

Get it and hope you do not have to use it. Mine has paid for itself 3 times over already - transmission, front half axle, leaking valve cover, water pump, etc.

Like several others have mentioned, I opted for Ford ESP through Lombard. They were quick and accommodating, good communication throughout the process. Better pricing than my local dealers. Will purchase again for my 2025 upon delivery.
