So this popped up on Amazon and I was about to
pull the trigger when I calculated the weight of 270 gallons of water (about 2200 pounds) plus 4 Oklahoma’s (800+) and realized my truck bed only can handle 1200 pounds cargo. So my question is can it handle more if your not going to drive it with weight in the back?

Also. Has anyone tried a portable propane water heater and a 12v motor with something like this?

I’ve seen people do it, I’ve seen a lot of dumb shit lol! I wouldn’t do that to a raptor, but a ****** 1/2 ton I would as long as it wasn’t my own, I would do it if I had an F350 tho lol

I’m in the scrap biz seen a helluva lot worse than that, like a late 80s Chevy S10 regular cab w/ 3400 lbs of brake rotors in the bed

Do you part out cars? I'm looking for a 4.8 or 5.3 ls engine for a swap. That S10 's engine would've been perfect

If you are not going to drive with water in the back, why wouldn't you just get an inflatable hot tub you can place on the ground when you reach your destination? It looks like they typically come with electric heaters, but you could just as easily heat with propane and 12v as you could with your truck bed thing.

nah I buy from
The place that do that stuff- you should check out your local auto wrecking yards, some are more parts/cars & some are more traditional junk yards

there are bigger national groups worth checking like LKQ, RAS, Copart, greenleaf, PickNPull etc. that you’d probably have an easier time finding what you’re looking for but will pay a little more as a result
