Nope.

I had a bent wheel on an old Ford Exploder, but it was easily isolated, vibes very noticeably reduced when the wheel was rotated to the rear.
Would that significantly affect fuel economy? I was getting around 20 on the highway, now I'm lucky to hit 16. I'll definitely keep this in mind when I bring it in tomorrow and they have it on the lift.

Fuel gauge jumping has to do something with Map/Boost sensor . Sits on top of intake manifold at least on my 14 Eco it does. How much vacuum and mph correlates to MPG gauge. I would locate sensor and pull it and clean it with some MAF Sensor spray cleaner. If that doesn't do anything i would be taking it to Dealer. Bull crap to be taking side streets and using cruise control . You should be able to drive that truck 100mph everywhere if you so desire.

There could be a coil or plug issue going on which could explain the mpg loss but that would send codes but, you said there were no codes correct? A torque converter could do the same and wouldn't have any codes.

Sounds like a possible transfer case issue. I see that the truck shakes and shudders when under load. How about in neutral? In 2 wheel or 4 wheel drive? Just a thought. Good luck and let us know what happens.

I dropped it into neutral at different speeds multiple times today and the shuddering went away. However, the dealership showed no codes and can't replace any parts since they cannot identify the source.

No codes and I asked the service manager about the torque converter when he did the ride along but he said the warranty won't let them replace it since it isn't throwing codes.

Oh come on! Throwing codes is not a requirement for a warranty claim. bent wheels, knackered drive shaft, out of round tires, screeching turbo bearings, leaking moonroof, whistling doors, display screen not working - none of these throw codes, and guess what - they get warrantied.

Your “service manager” is possibly one of the laziest subhuman oxygen thieves to yet exist.

Find another. This one sucks.

Can’t identify the source.

THAT’S THEIR EFFING JOB ! NOT YOURS!

I recently had my torque converter replaced on my 18 SCREW under warranty. The truck wasn’t throwing codes but the service tech spotted leaking transmission fluid when I brought the truck in for an oil change (never had threw any “codes” prior to this visit. If I were you, I’d find a new dealer. It sounds like that service manager came from a Chebby dealership.
