This is why you don't offroad in a field...

So last night I took some friends for a ride in a field. The grass was low but there were patches of stuff that hasn't been cut yet. Come over a himp and say that would be perfect to jump. Put in in reverse and start backing up. Camera says everything is cool, nothing from the sensors. Back up about 20 feet and CRUNCH. Turns out there was a concrete block buried underneath some grass that actually prevented me from backing into a deep narrow ditch. High centered on the rear axle and used 4 high to get out. No noticeable changes in the handling on the way home. You can see the damage that was done.

Here in north central Texas there are no public lands to play on. If I couldn't offroad in fields and their adjoining dirt roads and trails, I don't know what I'd do.

Ya see, I have volunteered to be the inspector of all properties for sale that are within 100 miles. I make it my business to check the fence lines, power line trails, and any interesting topography I encounter along the way. A good pre-run around the place is always in order and then see how it looks pinned lol - then it's right off to the next one.

Ya man you were very lucky. Its the same reason you never just take off in a field on your snowmobile or 4 wheeler unless you know the field. It looks so tempting but can be so dangerous. Ive had good friends hit stumps and hurt them selves

This little adventure could have turned out much worse and is a great reason to install rear lighting. Backing up at night sucks in a stock Raptor. Way too dark and can't see shit on your back up camera screen

Inexpensive and only a one beer job to install these stealth lights, and they might help save ya in the future
