I'm thinking of buying the raptor in the link below. Contacted the owner and the vehicle is in great condition. I'm just worried about the miles. Does anyone have experience with a raptor with this many miles? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

It all depends on what kind of miles they are, the truck could be ready to do another 80,000 miles or be on it's last legs, I'm biased to say it's ready to do another 80,000 if the first 80,000 was all to California and back all highway driving as the seller says, but I couldn't say for certain, go check it out in person

Yeah I agree that the price could be a little better. Slightly different truck, but I have a friend who bought a fairly base model 2012 SCAB about 9 months ago off the used lot at a local Ford dealership. I don't remember the asking price (it was a little over $40k), but he offered to pay them $40k out the door with all taxes, fees, etc. included and they took the offer. I realize this truck had less options and was a SCAB, not SCREW (~$2800 value), but it was also a year newer (only 1 model year old at the time of sale) and only had 12k miles on it and was mint... could have passed for new.

Hope this helps. Definitely not a bad deal if it's in really good condition, but I don't think it's a great deal either. Good luck!

I would start at $33k and work with him from there, but miles are not miles, what really wears an engine are startups, if you have 100,000 miles but went 500 miles per startup your engine would be in better condition than a vehicle with 30,000 miles with 50 miles per startup, once a modern engine warms up any miles beyond that cause next to no wear at all
