Anyone else’s paint this thin on their door jams? You can literally see primer in the daylight.

I dont have a paint thickness gauge but mine look fine. Cant see the primer underneath. Ive seen other posts about thin paint around the headlights under the hood/fenders. Not really great QC with these trucks like it should be.

My shadow black 18 paint is so thin my detailer burned thru my clear on my headlight trim next to headlight with a white foam pad and finish polish. It cost about $700 to get it fixed because no one can paint in houston without paint nibs. 2 different body's shops and 3 factory pieces later, still looks half ass.

Also, you can see the primer on both my front fenders near the headlight on both sides with a flashlight.

When I brought my truck to Autonation Ford, the body shop manager told me not to polish my truck or the paint will come off, I shit you not.

Yep it is just as thin in my door jambs on my 2019. Its a sad day, but they probably are all that way.

...now to get a new windshield since I can see a ridge in the inner tape layer. This will be about my 6th warranty issue with build quality finish. I realigned the hood and fender, the gaps were horrible, they look good now, but not perfect.

I agree, I was going to trade my 18 for a 19 because my dash was scratched from factory and ford refused to fix. I searched high and low but every truck I looked at had poor finish qualities including crooked doors, fenders, hoods, dents, crooked steering columns, scratches on dash, paint nibs, etc. I gave up and kept my 18.

In the afternoon shade you cant tell the paint is thin.. looks normal, but when you look at with bright sun shining its very noticeable.
The jam thickness is 1.5 ,rest of the truck (doors 4.3-4.4, bed sides are 3.3-4, 3.3 is low) cant measure the hood or fenders.
